No Bake Energy Bites
When you’re craving a delicious treat, look no further than these No Bake Energy Bites. They’re exactly what you need for that yummy guilt-free snack.
Every once in a while, I think we all need a pick me up. Something to bite into that makes us feel like we’re getting a treat. But if we did that all the time, we’d probably not like ourselves very much.
I’m a big believer in enjoying my food. I like to find things that are delicious and make me feel good. I give a big bonus to anything that I don’t have to cook! These No Bake Energy Bites tick all the boxes for me because they are fairly healthy, taste luxurious and are very low effort.
They’re great for a quick and easy breakfast, they are a fine mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack, and they can even stand on their own as a nice simple dessert.
The base recipe is really easy, and you can always add or remove what you like or don’t like. Sometimes I like to add raisins into the mix, and sometimes I’ll add some chopped dates. Nuts are always a solid addition. The point is that you can really make them your own once you know how to make them.
They’re also perfectly sized to fit in your mouth, though you can make them bigger or smaller if you like. I sometimes don’t even form them into balls, preferring to create bars for the kids.
I will also tell you a secret, and this is just for the ladies – if you are currently (or considering the idea in the future) breastfeeding, these are great for helping to boost your milk supply. They can give a lot of extra nutrition for your baby.
For the guys, these are great for protein and help with recovery after a good workout. I guess that works just as well for women, too, but I just didn’t want anyone to freak out after I mentioned breastfeeding. Ha.
I could break down all the ingredients for you, but suffice to say that these are a nice healthy treat. But like everything else in life, it’s not going to be healthy if you go ahead and eat them all at once. So do yourself a favor and have one or two at a time.
Above all, enjoy! And please, if you find a great combination of ingredients that taste great, leave a comment to let us all know!
